What's new

Export Law Firm Index

This release introduces the ability for Super Admin and Admin users to export a report of law firms from the law firm index. For better reporting purposes, the export will match the search criteria, filters and sorting options applied to the index.

Withdrawing a law firm a Tender/Direct Instruction Notifications

Previously, when a law firm was withdrawn from a tender or direct instruction, they would only be notified of the same through email. With this release, when a law firm is withdrawn from a tender or direct instruction, invited users from the law firm will be notified through the updates widget on their LegaleEye dashboard as soon as they log into LegalEye, allowing users to quickly re-prioritise and adjust their strategies accordingly.

Changes to Tenders/Direct Instructions Notifications

Prior to v36, when there was a change made to a tender or direct instruction, users would not receive updates on this in real-time. With the release of v36, users now receive in-app notifications in real-time as a user makes changes to a tender/DI, so that invited firms are aware of any changes made to a tender/DI they have been invited to as soon as they log into LegalEye.

Invitation to collaborate on a Direct Instruction Proposal Notification

Before this release, when a law firm user was invited to collaborate on a proposal for a Direct Instruction, they would not be notified about this at all, which could cause significant delays in the completion of the proposal. To ensure that users can begin working on a proposal promptly, law firm users will now receive email notifications when they are invited to collaborate on a proposal, allowing them to access the Direct Instruction proposal directly from their email.

Upload video attachments

With this release, LegalEye users will now be able to upload videos as attachments when creating/updating Tenders, Direct Instructions, Templates, Proposals and Knowledge base Articles.

Users will also be able to upload videos directly to their respective profiles. These resources can then be conveniently downloaded, facilitating knowledge sharing and access to valuable content such as masterclasses, recordings, and training materials.

What's changed

View Further Information for Conflict Checks through Notifications

Previously, internal users were only notified of whether a firm had passed or failed their conflict check through their dashboard’s Updates Widget. Any additional comments submitted were not surfaced in the notification. With this release, tender owners and collaborators will now see further information provided in response to a conflict check.

These notifications will display the law firm's name, the tender details, and any additional information provided by the firm regarding the conflict response.

Proposals to Review widget on the Dashboard

Previously, internal users could not see all proposals that needed their attention directly from the dashboard. With the release of v36, tender/DI owners and collaborators will now be able to view all proposals for their review, in the ‘Proposals to Review’ widget on their dashboard. This enhancement enables internal users to actively monitor and review incoming proposals from law firms, promptly evaluate them, provide required feedback or make a decision on the proposal.

Create and Share FAQs with Invited Firms through the Tender Q&A Tab

Previously, the instructing team was often responding to the same questions posed by different invited law firms. With the release of v36, the tender owner or collaborator can now share pre-answered questions with all invited participants for a tender. This allows tender owners/collaborators to proactively address frequently asked questions, and ensure that law firms have all the information they might need, without needing to wait on the instructing team to respond to a question.

To ensure that the information on the Tender is accurate and visible to the relevant users, internal tender participants will be able to update a question posted by other internal users.

Navigate the Scope of Work using only a keyboard

Previously, users using only keyboards were not able to identify where the focus is on the page, or navigate through the scope of work entirely using a keyboard. As part of v36, accessibility enhancements have been introduced to simplify the process of completing and updating the Scope of Work using only a keyboard. Users will now see focused items with a visual indicator to improve visibility and usability, and will be able to navigate the scope of work using only their keyboard, with the following keys:

  • Tab and Shift+Tab keys to navigate between fields,

  • Escape key to blur the current field, and the

  • Enter key to trigger click events on focused elements.

Confirmation modal when cancelling changes made to the Tender/Direct Instruction

Previously, if a user clicked cancel, they would not be prompted to confirm their decision, putting them at risk of losing the work they have done. As part of v36, when creating or updating tenders/DIs, if a user clicks cancel, a confirmation modal will appear, presenting options to either discard changes or continue editing. This will help reduce the chances that the user accidentally loses their work when creating a tender/ DI.

What's been fixed

Removed expression of interest date when viewing/completing conflict of interest

Internal users will no longer be able to view the expression of interest deadline, and will be able to view that a tender has been marked as restricted when they preview the conflict check.

External users will also no longer see the expression of interest deadline while completing the conflict check or in the downloaded tender/DI brief.

Clicking on a key date in a Direct Instruction Brief redirects to the key dates tab

Clicking a key date within the upcoming key dates widget on a direct instruction brief now correctly directs the user to the key dates tab.

Key dates inadvertently removed when using a tender/DI template

Previously, when a template was used to create a tender/DI, any changes made to the tender/DI caused the removal of key dates. This issue has been addressed in v36, and any pre-added key dates remain when making changes to a tender/DI using a template.
