LegalEye allows you to build Tenders quickly and efficiently through the use of pre-built Templates. LegalEye templates allow you to pre-populate tenders with metadata, scopes of work, attachments, questionnaires, and key dates to decrease the time spent building tenders and to improve compliance with company guidelines and best practice.
Please note that you will need to have Admin access to create Templates.
Step 1: Access the Templates Index
Once you have logged in to LegalEye, open the left-hand menu and click on “Templates” to access the Templates Index.
Step 2: Create a Tender Instruction Template
Click on the “Create new” button and select “Tender” on the pop-up modal.
Step 3: Enter the Tender’s details
Inputting the specific Tags, Jurisdictions and Practice Areas related to your Tender Templates enables you to categorise your templates logically, making them easy to find later.
Step 4: Input additional details to your Tender Template
Follow the step wizard to add all the necessary details to your Tender template including the tender’s brief, scope of work, additional questions, and key dates.
For more information on how to fill these sections, please see the following Guides:
Adding a Brief to your Tender Template

Adding Key Dates to your Tender Template
Step 5: Save your Tender Template
You can save your Tender Template at any point by clicking the “Save as Draft” button on the bottom left corner of your screen after you have entered the Tender’s title. Please note that you will not be able to use this Template to create Tenders as long as it remains in Drafting Status. For more information see the Managing Template Status Guide.
Step 6: Review your Tender Template before publishing
The review page displays all of the Tender Template’s information in one consolidated view, allowing you, as the template creator, to perform a final comprehensive quality check before finalisation. This holistic review enables you to catch any issues early and verify accuracy and completeness to ensure a higher-quality template.
The review page will only display the sections you have filled. For example, if you did not include a Scope of Work, then the Scope of Work section will not be shown on the review page. If needed, you can edit any of the previously entered information by clicking on “Edit” on the right-hand side of a section. This will redirect you to the relevant step of the Tender Template creation process.
Step 7: Publish your Tender Template
Once you have reviewed your Template, click on “Save Template” to publish your Template. You will be redirected to the Template Preview page.
