Adding attachments to a Direct Instruction

R
Written by Raphael Cardona

Attachments can be added to direct instructions, allowing you to share documents and other files with the recipients of your instruction before and/ or after your recipients have cleared conflicts. This will allow you to provide additional material required to conduct conflict checks for your firms to view at the point they’re requested to confirm there are no conflicts, and it allows you to give firms access to potentially sensitive documentation after your recipient has cleared their conflict checks.

Step 1: Navigate to a Direct Instructions Attachments Section

For Direct Instructions that are being created or that are in Draft status, scroll down to the section titled

Step 3: Drag and drop or search for documents to add to your Direct Instruction

Click on the uploading interface and select the file you wish to attach to your Direct Instruction. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the file in the uploading interface.

While files are being uploaded you will see a status indicator denoting how much of the file is left to upload. Do not close this window until the files have been uploaded or update progress will be lost.

Step 4: Select your documents’ permission level.

After uploading a document, you are able to define which attachments can be accessed before or after the conflict check. Click on “Set permission” and select the suitable permission level. If you choose to show a file before the conflict is cleared, the document will be marked as “Unlocked”.

Step 5: Click “Done”
