There are three law firm permission levels on LegalEye:

  1. Owner = the ability to manage the law firm profile, add and delete new users, upload and edit content, post articles and events

  2. Collaborator = can manage own profile, update permission levels, upload and edit law firm content, post articles and events

  3. Viewer = view-only access

How to edit/update user permissions:

Note: this action is only available to an "Owner" or "Collaborator" on LegalEye:

  1. Go to the Manage section on the firm profile and click on Profile Permissions

  2. Find the member name

  3. Click the drop-down on the right

  4. Set the permission ("Owner", "Collaborator" or "Viewer")

Pro-tip:

  • We recommend that at least two people have "Owner" permissions - typically the Business Development or Client Relationship team. Knowledge Managers, Marketing Executives and other Lawyers actively using the platform should have "Collaborator" permission. Everyone else should have "Viewer" permission.
