Overview

Barclays Connect is a collaborative space where your law firm can engage with Barclays’ users and provide answers to their legal queries. This helps build a strong knowledge repository that can be easily accessed by the Barclays team on demand. Questions are asked to to multiple law firms and represent an opportunity for you to demonstrate your domain expertise.

Each question has a title, detailed description, author, date of publication, status, priority, due date, jurisdictions, tags, views and likes.

Finding the right questions

You can access Barclays Connect using the link in the left navigation menu.

Open and Closed Questions

By default, questions are open on LegalEye for 7 days after which they are automatically closed. The author can reopen a question if required. Only open questions can be answered by you. Depending on your licence tier you may see historic questions, including those you have previously answered.

How to use filters

You can filter the questions using the drop-down options at the top of the index.

The filters work by using ‘OR’ logic, that is, if you select "Tags" = ‘Copyrights’ and ‘Passing Off’, the index will filter and show questions with either a ‘Copyright’ tag or a ‘Passing Off’ tag or both.

You can also filter by keywords using the search bar located at the top and sort by most recent and oldest.

Other metrics

You can also identify important questions by looking at other factors such as priority (displayed as red (High), yellow (Medium) or green (Low) dot next to the question title), views and likes.
