How to ask your panel firms a question via LegalEye

Barclays Connect allows you to ask a question to all of the panel firms on the LegalEye platform. You can choose a priority level and invite firms to answer through LegalEye, ensuring the responses are easily tracked and not lost in your email inbox.

How to create a question

  1. Go to Q&A from the left-hand navigation panel

  2. Click Ask Question

  3. Give your question a title and add your question (you can also format the text, add links and insert photos)

  4. Pick tags, priority, jurisdictions and sectors. Upload any attachments, if required

  5. Tick the attestation check box before you click Submit

Note: By default, your question will be active for 7 days, at the end of which, it will be closed automatically to avoid a backlog. However, you may reopen the question if you require further responses.

How to select a preferred answer

Selecting a preferred answer helps alleviate confusion and ensures everyone has access to the same information. A preferred answer allows improve knowledge management platform on LegalEye and acts as a point of reference for key information. To select a preferred answer, follow these below three steps:

  1. Click on a specific question

  2. Read the answers

  3. Click on the Mark as Preferred button

How to close a question

If you have found the answer to your question you can close the question by following these three steps:

  1. Click on a specific question

  2. Read the answers

  3. Click on Mark as Closed

How to reopen a question

To reopen the question, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click on a specific question

  2. Click on Reopen Question

Responding to @mention and answer thread

LegalEye allows users to connect within the platform. If you receive an @mention on LegalEye you can respond via a thread.

  1. Click Reply on the specific answer thread

  2. Use @mention to clearly state who you’re talking to

  3. Write down your response

  4. Click Send to submit the response
